I organized my basement office today. It's not really an office, since I don't like spending time there. It's just a basement place to store office supplies.
I have these plastic 'drawer chests' that you can get at any office store. I had a total of 28 drawers filled with different office supplies. However, I was able to streamline my organization with an accordian file. Now, I'm down to 15 drawers. I eliminated an entire chest of drawers, and put alot of things in smaller places that I can keep upstairs where it's convenient.
I also eliminated an entire file drawer. I got rid of all the files I don't need. I ended up with 4 empty binders I can use for something else, and a stack of empty file folders I didn't realize I had. We were just about to buy a new box of them.
I'm always surprised at how much I can still simplify.
